Valentin Yudashkin

This marvelous frock in blue atlas looks like an outfit of a queen. Very impressive design as well as the skimmmimg silhoeutte make me wipe off my mouth in strong excitement.

Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff designed a piece , It is so light and inspiring that I couldn’t leave it out. Also, the color played for it – delicate pistachio, one of the Spring/Summer 2014 trends, seems to be a shade of innocence and love.

Dolce & Gabbana

You might question my sight-seeing or color perception, but this is not a mistake. If you take a closer look, you will notice that the dress is actually made out of white fabric. It is the myriad of coin tiles in gold that cover the material, creating an illusion of goldness. I like the design a lot – very unique and catchy. It is the two maestros after all, they always have surprises.

You will  be totally overwhelmed by the colorful prints that are featured in every single outfit. Moreover, it is not just about abstract pattrens that have no meaning. You will spot key-shaped ornamnets, floral motifs, and animal images.

The textures also vary a lot in the brand’s Fall 2014 collection. Fur, atlas, chiffon, jacquard, tweed and satin are all tapped for the newest line. Be it a thick coat in yummy purple ot a magnificent airy gown in lust red, all the outfits presented by Dolce & Gabbana are full of high fashion and great style. It’s not a secret that every season designers create their masterpieces based on a number of trends we will later stick to when choosing clothing and accessories. FUR and Knee High boots have taken over this Season. Heres just  some of my favorites from Alica + Olivia…

ImageImageImageImage

Despite the collection’s bold look, it is very feminine and romantic. There are a lot of dresses, skirts and amazing pants, which highlight the feminine curves. There are also many outerwear pieces, such as jackets, coats and the mentioned above fur coats. Its alway better to be BOLD than boring!

TRENDY BRIGHTNESS – NEON SHOES!

Summer is all about the color. Sky, grass, flowers are bright and cheerful and looking at them we are subconsciously attracted to the same hues when it comes to clothes. Even despite the fact pastel tones are dominant this season, we still see many women wearing bright or even neon pieces. And if neon garments can seem a little bit too much, neon shoes and accessories are just right.

20130710-232504.jpg

Neon shoes have been seen everywhere lately worn by both celebrities and ordinary fashionistas. Some use them to make their looks brighter and more interesting, while others do it to express their miscellaneous personalities. No matter why you choose to wear trendy neon shoes you might find these few style tips helpful.

20130710-232557.jpg

How to wear neon shoes????

Match your shoes to your outfit. It is easy. Yellow comes to yellow, pink to pink, etc. It looks very bright, so add a couple of neutral accessories to make sure you don’t overdo with neon.

20130710-232704.jpg

Color block your outfit. You can choose other vibrant hues to mix with your neon shoes or paler and less expressive colors to keep the balance. All is up to your taste, but we advise you to try the second variant as it is safer and already looks daring enough.
Pair neon with neutrals. Neon shoes look fantastic with black, white and nude garments by adding necessary brightness to the attire.

METALLIC – FASHION TREND OF 2013

20130710-231423.jpg

If you are not daring enough to wear the head-to-toe metallic outfit, consider sequin-embellished items that are a more traditional and safe option. Diane von Furstenberg introduced the dresses that are richly embellished with colored pailettes, which look dressy and chic. Just Cavalli offers to team the sequin-decorated jumpers with simple denims and Converse for the effortless look with glam vibe.

20130710-231546.jpg

Celebrities in return didn’t fail to try this trend before it became widely spread. At the latest Oscars 2013 ceremony A-list female celebrities demonstrated an array of the metallic gowns. Stacy Keibler stunned on the red carpet wearing the floor-length gown with silver studs all over it by Naeem Khan, while Renee Zellweger went for the shiny gold Carolina Herrera gown with the simple silhouette.

Naomi Watts amazed everyone with her sequin-embellished Armani Privé gown with the cut out on the breast area, while Jennifer Hudson looked dazzling in the Roberto Cavalli gown in the beautiful midnight blue with sparkling metallic effect.

As for the accessories, try to keep them subtle or even refuse wearing them in order to balance the bold metallic. Regardless whether you prefer to embrace this loud trend in full or simply complement your looks with metallic shoes, you will definitely make a statement with your look and become center of attention.

Fashion Trends For Spring Season

The black and white colors were dominating the Spring/Summer 2013 catwalks but the brights were also offered in some collections. Among patterns and prints the stripes were favored by designers but there also were colorful graphic prints and patchwork. Shapes and silhouettes are very different. There are items that feature loose fit and also those that feature ruffles. Oriental style contributed to structured dresses and outfits while the suits became one of the must-haves of the season.

Monochromatic

20130326-210252.jpg

It’s all black and white for this Spring. Even prints and patterns come in black and white, namely the omnipresent stripes, polka dot, houndstooth, and checkers. There are many other abstract designer prints in black and white which add more detail to the look. The classic monochrome combination is worn in suits, top and pant/skirt ensembles, blazers and even shoes.

In case you like prints and want to add color to your look go for designs of Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, and Holly Fulton. Other colorful options include the many patchwork style outfits from brands like Fendi, Rodarte, Proenza Schouler and others.

Metallics

20130326-210411.jpg

Metallics are everywhere this Spring. There are silver and gold metallic foil shoes, clutches and even clothing items like skirts, jackets and dresses as seen at Burberry Prorsum fashion show. Metallic panels and shiny fabrics also enhance the outfits of such designers as Diane von Furstenberg and Christian Dior.

Other shiny finishes were also spotted at Mary Katrantzou, Alexander McQueen, and Marchesa shows. Shiny satin was used in many collections as well. At Calvin Klein the suits were featured in champagne satin while in collection by Erdem it was teamed with lace panels.

Sheer Fabrics

20130326-210559.jpg

Sheer fabrics and paneling were seen all over the runways during Spring 2013 Fashion Weeks. At Christopher Kane there were sheer fabric overlays while at Emilio Pucci the sheer garments were expertly combined with opaque ones.

The sheer overlaid skirt or hemline are perfect for rocking this trend. Though designers also offer items that feature patterns created using solid and sheer panels.

Ruffles

20130326-210725.jpg

Ruffles were another reccuring trend on the runways. Balenciaga and Givenchy went for assymetrical ruffles that decorated the dresses while Gucci showed ruffles teamed with streamline silhouettes which made a nice contrast in shapes.

Ruffles can be tough to pull off but the key is to not overdo. Team ruffles with items that feature clean lines and simpler shapes. Since these particular ruffles are quite dramatic they don’t require too many accessories.

Oriental Style

20130326-210944.jpg

Oriental style as seen at Emilio Pucci, Prada and other shows was translated into short kimono-like dresses with floral and other Oriental motifs. Hermes created an amazing colorful collection with some Oriental motifs accessorized with bright shoes and statement accessories.

Structured dresses and mixed prints make complex outfits so be sure to keep your accessories minimal when putting together outfits in this style.

Suits

20130326-211143.jpg

Suit is a must-have of the season. Whether you need a strict one for the office or a bright one for the outings you can choose from the ones Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, and many other brands demonstrated on the catwalk.

While some designers chose to focus solely on their suits, others went further to complete them with tops and accessories. Saint Laurent showed strict men’s style suits combined with intricate blouses and dramatic bows.

Bermuda Shorts

20130326-211443.jpg

Bermuda shorts will also make it to fashionistas’ wardrobes this Spring as they were featured in collections by such designers as Alexander Wang, Chloe, DKNY, Rachel Zoe, Rag & Bone and others. Made in solid suit fabrics as well as colorful bright printed ones the bermuda shorts are great alternative to the pants this Spring. Some designers created suits featuring bermuda shorts while others combined them with bright blazers and statement tops.

Other trends include beading, cut outs, bared midriffs, leather, and sportswear style, which you could see at Oscar de la Renta, Cushnie et Ochs, Dolce & Gabbana, Proenza Schouler, and DKNY.
