Wow… Oh my God… Fantastic… Irresistible… Magnificent… These were the exclaimations that kept coming to my mind as I was staring at the photocall of 2014 Golden Globes Awards ceremony. No event ever has gathered so many fabulously-looking people before. I am not exaggerating: literally every single look is totally mind-blowing. This has never happened before: there were just a couple of outstanding outfits, whereas the rest were just fine. But this time I couldn’t believe my eyes. Something divinely magic must have happened to the stars’ stylists, as they produced such adorable ensembles. The ceremony took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 12, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California. Scroll down and get totally overwhelmed by the delicious and striking outfits of the 40 ladies as well as figure out the best dresses!

40 Marvelous Outfits of 2014 Golden Globes Awards

Kate Beckinsale literally shined at the fabulous event. The actress donned a beautiful gown with a mermaid tail by Zuhair Murad. The magnificent frock in silver features a strapless bustier top and thigh-skimming maxi skirt. Besides, the precious fabric is adorned with hundreds of tiny rhinestones, which make the dress glow in the lights of soffits. To finish the look, Kate opted for a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and Edie Parker clutch in black.

Zoe SaldanaZoe Saldana

While Kate’s outfit has a touch of pomposity, Zoe Saldana looked incredibly elegant. The beauty rocked a dress by Prabal Gurung, which will blow your mind away. The off-shoulder fit always looks very feminine, but when it is combined with such an elaborate design, it hits all the tops. The black atlas bodice is paired with a pearl white and sheer skirt-extension that features lovely crystal adornments. The midi length perfectly fits the ocassion, yet the see-through fabric reveals Zoe’s slender legs. A pair of nude Christian Louboutin shoes, Bottega Veneta clutch in candy pink and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry pieces complete the ensemble.

Caitlin FitzgeraldCaitlin Fitzgerald

Caitlin Fitzgerald looked as if she arrived from the 60s and got lost in the jungles of the modern world. She totally stroke everyone around with her extremely delicate and exquisite outfit. The stunner sported a ball gown in tender blue by Emilia Wickstead, super stylish pumps in coral and matching blue as well as a corresponding clutch.

Sofia VergaraSofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara wowed at the show. The beauty wore a magnificent strapless bustier frock in classic black. In spite of the dark color, Zac Posen dress looks very shining. I bet, it is due to the natural beauty of Sofia as well as the awesome accessories that she styled her look with. To be more precise, the gorgeous statement necklace in bright turquoise plays it all off.

Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift

Taylor Swift is always in the limelight. This songstress somehow knows how to be on the top of it, no matter what event she attends. This time she went for breathtaking Carolina Herrera dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Jimmy Choo clutch & Lorraine Schwartz jewelry pieces. The elegant piece in black and red also features a bustier fit (which seems to be the most popular one so far) along with a moderate tail. I adore the color combination, as the gown looks both sophisticated and bright.

Jennifer LawrenceJennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence keeps experimenting with her appearance, which speaks to me a lot. She has also showed some dramatic transformations in her style. For instance, last night she glowed in a astonishing dress by Christian Dior. The Haute Couture dress in pure white does not look cliche at all. Quite the contrary, due to the engaging design with two black belts as well as the airy fabric, this piece looks incredibly wonderful. The Hunger Games star opted for Roger Vivier shoes and clutch as well as Neil Lane jewelry pieces

Cate BlanchettCate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett also wowed on the red carpet. The beauty donned a super luxurious and alluring gown by Armani Prive. The stunning piece in sheer lace with elaborate and unique ornament hypnotizes you from the very first minute you spot it. The short sleeves as well as the intricate collar both make the piece look totally different from all the ones that were presented that night. To finish her look, Cate opted for super exquisite earrings and bracelet by Chopard.

Emma WatsonEmma Watson

Emma Watson is the one whose elegant style can be both envied and worshipped. This young lady manages to do something that even the mature celebrities fail to do. She keeps showing off adorbale outfits in absolutely perfect design and style, without even a hint of epatage or vulgarity. This time she went for a gorgeous Christian Dior Haute Couture dress in lust red and backless fit. Emma added a pair of plain black pants to cover what the dress itself failed to hide. To complete the look, the stunner wore Roger Vivier shoes in bluish-purple, Edie Parker clutch, and jewelry by Repossi & Anita Ko.

Heidi KlumHeidi Klum

Heidi Klum sported a cuper hot yet elegant dress in black and white by Marchesa. The super model looked incredibly striking, just the way she always does, as she appeared at the event. To finish the ensemble, the star added gorgeous jewelry pieces by Lorraine Schwartz.

Julie BowenJulie Bowen

Julie Bowen rocked a super saucy gown by Carolina Herrera. The stunning dress in burgundy and wine red speaks to me a lot, especially since I am into all the shades of red currently. A pair of classic Jimmy Choo heels along with and Jacob & Co jewelry made the outfit even more engaging.

These were the most magnificent gowns of the event. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy the best beauty moments of 2014 Golden Globes Awards!

Alice + Olivia Lookbook for Winter

It’s not a secret that every season designers create their masterpieces based on a number of trends we will later stick to when choosing clothing and accessories. FUR and Knee High boots have taken over this Season. Heres just  some of my favorites from Alica + Olivia…

ImageImageImageImage

Despite the collection’s bold look, it is very feminine and romantic. There are a lot of dresses, skirts and amazing pants, which highlight the feminine curves. There are also many outerwear pieces, such as jackets, coats and the mentioned above fur coats. Its alway better to be BOLD than boring!

STAY TUNED WITH FALL 2013 COLOR TRENDS

image

Six Hottest Color Trends of Fall 2013 Season

Whenever I have to make that shift from sunny and warm joy to nasty and rainy routine, I find myself stuck deeply in fall depression. The only thing capable of saving my world is a couple of hours spent at the shopping mall. There is nothing else in the universe that has as much power to heal my bleeding soul as the process of enriching my closet does. But there are times, when huge bags of my brand new clothing pieces do not bring any satisfaction at all. If you are hoping for fruitful shopping with nothing to regret about, then you better check the color tendencies that will be in vogue this fall.

image

Navy replaces all the summer shades of our beloved blue, offering a huge variety of chances to play with it. Navy blue is super easy to match your clothing pieces with. Be it a coat, pants or a dress, there is always an opportunity to offset the coolness ans darkness of this color by brighter hues. Celine, Chloe, Dries Van Noten, Hermes, Nina Ricci, Calvin Klein and Paul & Joe all went for this elegant and noble color and I doubt they have ever cried over their choice.Delicate ecru, as some kind of a contrast to navy, shouldn’t be missed out from your sight line either. As if reminding us about the fluffy snowflakes and morning frost on the window glass (I still hate to imagine it, no matter how poetic it sounds), gorgeous skirts, frocks and coats float on the runway. Seen in the collections of Celine, Isabel Marant, Valentino, Nina Ricci, Elie Saab and Stella McCartney, this grayish-white color is incredibly hard to resist.

image

Camouflage is also going to be super hot this fall. Michael Kors, Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung and Christopher Kane used this trendy print as a highlight of their Fall/Winter 2013-14 runway collections. A baggy dress in khaki, red, blue and sand or a fur coat with a belt on the waistline: there are literally no limits.

image

Oxblood red is still with us! Being the brightest color trend of all the presented ones, it definitely deserves your attention. The best way to stay in good mood, despite the dropping temperatures and crazy wind, is to be on the colorful side. Forget your gloomy black trench coats and jackets – fashion is not about being mousy at all. Plus, when it is brands like Burberry Prorsum, Erdem, Marc Jacobs, L’Wren Scott, Marious Shwab and Christopher Kane, which all opted for this color, there shouldn’t be any room for questioning.

image

Here is quite an unusual color for the season of Fall/Winter – powder pink. “How on earth can one sport a coat of such a delicate and light shade, when it is all muddy and puddly outside?” – you might wonder. Well, I have to tell you, much more significant sacrifices have been made for the sake of fashion. Besides, Carven, Chanel, Mulberry, Christian Dior and Miu Miu, designing their Fall 2013 collection pieces, obviously counted on the service of the dry-cleaner.Unlike all the other summer trends, color-blocking has no intention to leave us behind. DKNY, Rag & Bone, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Louise Goldin, Victoria Beckham and Proenza Schouler continued with the hot tendency of Spring/Summer 2013. Presented in various color combinations, this trend adds a refreshing hue to each of the outfits.

Color is a very important detail to count, when it is your wardrobe that you are working on. Now that you are introduced to the main color tendencies of Fall/Winter 2013-14 season, I see no reason for you to postpone the glorious moment of your shopping. Keep in mind all the tips and good luck!

Leather in the summer? Why yes. Yes, indeed. The sturdy fabric has carried over from fall to enter into our spring lexicon, thanks to lighter weights, brighter colors, and skin baring cut outs. To wear this well, go for perforated or sliced leather looks, or strapless tops that allow for a bold look

5. Bold Floral

Most versions lace up to your ankles–some go up to your thigh. Rock ‘em with a short hem to truly let them shine

TRENDY BRIGHTNESS – NEON SHOES!

Summer is all about the color. Sky, grass, flowers are bright and cheerful and looking at them we are subconsciously attracted to the same hues when it comes to clothes. Even despite the fact pastel tones are dominant this season, we still see many women wearing bright or even neon pieces. And if neon garments can seem a little bit too much, neon shoes and accessories are just right.

20130710-232504.jpg

Neon shoes have been seen everywhere lately worn by both celebrities and ordinary fashionistas. Some use them to make their looks brighter and more interesting, while others do it to express their miscellaneous personalities. No matter why you choose to wear trendy neon shoes you might find these few style tips helpful.

20130710-232557.jpg

How to wear neon shoes????

Match your shoes to your outfit. It is easy. Yellow comes to yellow, pink to pink, etc. It looks very bright, so add a couple of neutral accessories to make sure you don’t overdo with neon.

20130710-232704.jpg

Color block your outfit. You can choose other vibrant hues to mix with your neon shoes or paler and less expressive colors to keep the balance. All is up to your taste, but we advise you to try the second variant as it is safer and already looks daring enough.
Pair neon with neutrals. Neon shoes look fantastic with black, white and nude garments by adding necessary brightness to the attire.

METALLIC – FASHION TREND OF 2013

20130710-231423.jpg

If you are not daring enough to wear the head-to-toe metallic outfit, consider sequin-embellished items that are a more traditional and safe option. Diane von Furstenberg introduced the dresses that are richly embellished with colored pailettes, which look dressy and chic. Just Cavalli offers to team the sequin-decorated jumpers with simple denims and Converse for the effortless look with glam vibe.

20130710-231546.jpg

Celebrities in return didn’t fail to try this trend before it became widely spread. At the latest Oscars 2013 ceremony A-list female celebrities demonstrated an array of the metallic gowns. Stacy Keibler stunned on the red carpet wearing the floor-length gown with silver studs all over it by Naeem Khan, while Renee Zellweger went for the shiny gold Carolina Herrera gown with the simple silhouette.

Naomi Watts amazed everyone with her sequin-embellished Armani Privé gown with the cut out on the breast area, while Jennifer Hudson looked dazzling in the Roberto Cavalli gown in the beautiful midnight blue with sparkling metallic effect.

As for the accessories, try to keep them subtle or even refuse wearing them in order to balance the bold metallic. Regardless whether you prefer to embrace this loud trend in full or simply complement your looks with metallic shoes, you will definitely make a statement with your look and become center of attention.

After surfing through the photos of the high society events and celebrity parties you have probably noticed the court shoes with metallic heels on those beautiful legs. These are the legendary Blade shoes by the Italian shoe brand Casadei, which were brought into play back in 2011 and still remain one of the hottest shoe obsessions among Hollywood A-listers, which are often-spotted on red carpets. Among their numerous fans are Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz and Eva Mendez. So at the present moment Blades are the number one shoes in Hollywood.

Casadei Shoes – Secret of Success

What made these Casadei shoes so popular? Some might think that the answer would be a pointy toe, which is the key shoe trend of this Spring/Summer 2013 season, and metal spike heel and that would be true. However, there is another reason for Casadei’s shoes success – the bright shades and lovely color blocking that made these shoes the hottest footwear of a season.

Victoria Beckham is a recognized style icon and she was also infected with this Casadei shoes obsession. She has been spotted in Blades numerous times: she tends to wear them both to the formal events and on everyday basis like taking a stroll with her children.

Casadei Blade Pumps

In the past we used to see Victoria wearing the platform pumps, which added additional height to her frame, however, since they are not in trend anymore, she immediately replaced them with Casadei’s Blades, which are the highest court shoe alternative available for sale nowadays. In fact Blades are not intended for high heel beginners, however, there are other styles like ankle strap Valentina and t-strap Softymetal, which are less extreme comparing to renowned Blades.

Cesare Casadei is a 54-year-old shoe designer who stands behind this Italian shoe brand, sees success of his creations in “The contrast between the razor sharp metal and beautiful fabrics”. Offered in a myriad of candy colors and made from high end leather, silk and suede, the Casadei shoes will meet demands of the most exquisite fashionista. The only thing that can stop you from buying your pair of Casadei is the high price.

Metallic – Fashion Trend of 2013

Burberry Prorsum and Jonathan Saunders stick to the clean-cut silhouettes and simple lines. Their garments with the classical design, which is never out of fashion, were spiced up by the metallic sheen of fabrics that added an edgy and statement feel to the collection.

Burberry Prorsum Spring Summer 2013

Creative director of Burberry Prorsum – Christopher Bailey – included capes, dresses and even bikinis in the opulent metallic shades of blue, green, pink and yellow in the Spring Summer 2013 collection. Meanwhile Christian Dior layered the glossy garments with the bold stripes and delicate florals, which are also the key trends of this season.

If you are not daring enough to wear the head-to-toe metallic outfit, consider sequin-embellished items that are a more traditional and safe option. Diane von Furstenberg introduced the dresses that are richly embellished with colored pailettes, which look dressy and chic.
